Lockrack Watersport Carriers Review - 2022 Ford Maverick- Video

Hi, everyone, Aiden here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at our Lockrack Surfboard Carrier and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2022 Ford Maverick. That's gonna be a great way to carry a single surfboard with you without having to worry about tying it down because everything is held in by these four ratcheting arms. It gets a really strong hold on the surfboard. And because of the way they're shaped and the places it grips the surfboard, there's really no room for it to move around, whether that be up or down or sliding front to back because in the middle is the widest part of the surfboard and the arms taper over the top to prevent it from popping up. So, this is a really simple system to get set up and it doesn't take up too much room on top of the roof. more

This watersport carrier is going to let you transport one surfboard on your roof rack without straps and this does feature expandable arms that can be adjusted to fit varying widths. So I have this one set to the smallest configuration and lining up my tape measure here, the smallest configuration measures right at about 15 inches wide, and then on our larger configuration we have a measurement of about 28 inches wide. So you have a range from 15 inches to 28 inches wide. The arms themselves are about 11 and a half inches tall and just the base we're sitting right at about 13 and three quarters inches wide on just the base itself. This storage rack holds one kayak up to 100 pounds on the wall of your garage, boathouse or shed, and this is a one-inch round steel tube that has a powder coat finish for indoor or outdoor installation, and the frame here, the J-style hooks are fully padded to protect your kayak from scratches or scuffs. I'm just trying to give you an overview here of one of these. Now I took some measurements earlier, and I noticed that the J-style hook here will stick out about 15 inches or so from the wall that you have it mounted on. The overall height from top to the bottom of the hook, we're sitting at about 25 inches tall and these brackets, they measure three inches square. more

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Malone Xpress TRX Scupper Kayak Cart with the flat-free tires. Now, this large cart will make it easy to transport your scupper-style sit-on-top kayak all by yourself, and the scupper kayaks are the sit-on-top kayaks that have the molded in drain holes which they call scuppers. Now, those vertical holes will connect the boat deck to the water beneath it, and they may be in the cockpit, foot wells, or tank well. On a scupper kayak, you can have typically between one to six scupper holes in it. So this carrier, what's nice about it, it has these padded vertical posts that will insert into those scupper holes, and then the kayak will slide down and rest on these shorter horizontal posts. more

And the main thing about the Malone DownLoader is I liked how for a premium, uh, entry-level kayak carrier, it has some cool features like making it easier for you to strap down the kayak, having this load assist ramp. The downside to it was I did not like the straps that we're included. more
